Skill Sets:
Experience in SQL Server DBA.
Good Communication Skills.
Responsibilities:
Own the architecture, design, documentation and implementation of the database platform.
Design implement, maintain and automate the appropriate backup and recovery architecture.
Implement database replication for recover and failover.
Identify and build appropriate hardware platforms.
Interface with application stakeholders to resolve technical and business modeling issues.
Own capacity planning to properly identify hardware, database configuration and maintenance to support rapid growth.
Serve as primary contact for aggregating third party data feeds.
Tune database applications for optimal performance using SQL.
Develop database structures, stored procedures, and SQL queries.
Ensure data integrity.
Desired:
Replication and failover architecture and design.
Archival and restoring strategy and implementation experience.
Distributed database architecture design and Synchronization techniques using SQL server 2000 or above and Oracle.
